Getting Started at Acorn

1) Tell Us about your child

Start by completing our secure online intake form via the link here... Tell us about your child, your child’s current diagnostic status, what services you are seeking, where you are seeking services, as well as a few other items we need to know.

2. We'll Reach Out

We'll review your information and contact you to answer any questions you may have as well as reach out with any clarifying questions. If we're not the right fit, we'll do our best to point you toward other resources that may be of help.

3. Understand Your Insurance

ABA is a covered benefit for many families, but every insurance plan is different. We'll verify your child's specific benefits and help you understand your coverage and any expected out-of-pocket costs before moving forward.

4. Come Visit Acorn

If it looks like we may be a good match, we'll invite you and your child to visit. Meet us, explore the center, ask questions, and get a feel for where and how your child would spend their day.

5. Autism Evaluation

Already have an autism evaluation? We'll review it with you.

If your child does not yet have a diagnosis and appears to be a good fit for Acorn, we have a psychologist on staff who will reach out and schedule an in-person autism evaluation as part of the intake process.

6. Build Your Child's ABA Program

Next, we'll complete an individualized ABA assessment. We'll learn about your child's strengths, needs, interests, preferences, and the things that matter to your family.

Together, we'll identify meaningful goals and design your child's individualized 1:1 ABA program at Acorn.

Then we're ready to grow.
